For nearly 40 years, Carver Herefords has focused on producing high quality cattle. We strive to raise cattle with extra power, functionality, balance, and cattle that are all in an eye catching package.
Carver Herefords began with Jim Carver and his sons, David and Jim Bob, with the purchase of 4 heifers. To this day, David and Jim Bob continue to run cattle with their families based in Abernathy and Cotton Center, Texas. Through the implementation of embryo transfer and selective AI strategies, we have been able to increase the quality of our herd to be very competitive in the show ring, winning multiple banners across Texas and Oklahoma majors. We raise both polled and horned cattle, with our main focus on quality. We strive to produce durable, problem-free cattle from proven matings that are top-quality both in the pasture and the show ring.
We take pride in our ability to cater to the seed-stock and commercial cattleman, as well as the show-cattle enthusiast. Our success in the show ring is matched only by the success of our bulls in the pasture. Whether it’s performing in the arena at the majors or cattle covering miles of fence line in the pasture, our cattle can get the job done.

We host an Annual Steer Sale every March. Commercial bulls and replacement heifers are sold private treaty year-round. We welcome visitors at our place anytime and would love the opportunity to show you our cattle. Stop by or give us a call anytime.
